The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is a coalition of public health, educational,
religious, labor, women’s, environmental, and consumer groups. Their
goal is to protect the health of the consumer and workers by requiring the
health and beauty industry to phase out the use of chemicals linked to cancer,
birth defects, and other health problems and to replace them with safer alternatives.

is a new, rapidly evolving network of "climate leaders" representing

gas emissions year by year.

Long Island Organic Horticultural Association (LIOHA)
LIOHA is an association of green industry professionals and environmentalists
who are committed to using and promoting safe, non-toxic, organic
methods of lawn and tree care. LIOHA has developed its own strict
standard for Organic Horticulture, and has established a questionnaire,
8-page contract, and inspection regimen, to ensure compliance with
the standards by the companies LIOHA lists.

Tox Town is designed to provide information on everyday locations where
toxic chemicals are found, such as at home, work, school, and recreational areas. Tox
Town uses color, graphics, sound, and animation to enhance learning about the
connections between health and the environment.
